The Scandi Noir trend brought deeply dark greys and natural finishes - it's Nordic cousin though is very different.

Made up of blush pinks, creamy beiges and deep greens, it’s a warm palette with touches of compassion and love. Here’s some of our favourite ways to make it work.

1. Create luxury

Blush pink can help you transform your room into a luxurious haven. Find accessories or furniture with hints of brass, copper or gold and combine this with velvet furniture and gorgeous faux fur blankets for a look that oozes old Hollywood glamour.

2. Contrasting colours

If you want to make use of blush pink but don’t want to go OTT or are worried about the room being too feminine (although pink is definitely not just for girls!), contrast colours are the way forward. Leaping Lizard is the perfect earthy green contrast to the soft pinks. It’s got an evergreen feeling that will warm you up in the winter months and urge you to get outside in summer.

Try the contrast colours on woodwork or even try your hand at painting some furniture. You won’t regret it!

3. The inverse feature wall

Turn the rules of decorating on their head and opt for a feature wall that’s darker than the rest of the room. Canyon Hush (R36B) and Pink Perfection can be offset by slate greys like Secret Retreat for a sophisticated look.
